PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM

For clients who qualify, we offer a rich PRP Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. Named by our clients the “LIFE” program (Living Independently for Empowerment), clients choose from a number of group discussions and activities each month.  Both on-site meetings and off-site trips are included in each month’s offerings. The program is designed to provide enrichment activities to help clients gain both concrete and interpersonal skills they need to successfully transition back to their communities. 

Services provided through PRC’s LIFE program include:

  • Group sessions and discussions

  • Field trips to museums, movies, or shopping trips

  • Library visits

  • Individual mentoring and coaching sessions

Topics addressed include but are not limited to:

  • Nutrition, food shopping, and food preparation

  • Budgeting and money management

  • Housing resources

  • Work readiness

  • Social and interpersonal relationship building
